I would think they are referring to the PSAD 1956 (Provisional South
American Datum 1956) or datum #82 according to Appendix H in the 5.0 User's
guide. Use that datum to create a custom coordinate system for UTM.

Mappers,
We are capturing a map in Peru, and have been informed by the client that
the projection details are UTM Zone 18 - SAD56.
In the prj file there is only reference to SAD69.
Has anybody the details of SAD56, or is this a typo...?
