I have had several replies -thanks everyone- that have mainly suggested products like MrSID and Horizon. These products are excellent in pushing large raster files through the Internet however they do not allow the images to be integrated into an existing MapX geoset. The real power of our application is that it packages all of the spatial data that a REALTOR might be able to use on the same map. For example, I have created several vector layers which are available with a radio button selection like: an 8 county seamless contour map derived from USGS DEMs, a school zone boundary map, a "sales area map" and a Standard Flood Hazard Area Map. What I want to do is add certain raster layers within the same app. so what I need to know is:
- How large should the tiles be?
- Will geotifs work or will I have to register each panel :( ?
