Thanks as ever for an excellent answer. To be more specific than "aaacck",
what I don't like about the quadtree implementation Oracle uses is the fact
that it requires parsing spatial data into grids. From the Oracle literature,
the system now better able to search across grid cells, but handles that
automagically (?! Yikes.). The R-tree's capacity and performance are
impressive: who exactly would I say that to at the Emerald City?
I know I have to learn more about this new system; maybe my initial
interjection is unfounded. At any rate, good to see the cartridge taking off,
the partnership, etc. Congrats.
