as an alternative, you might seek out a printer who can use an EPS file.
then you can get an image any size you like at the printer's resolution. be
warned that printers get scared when they find out that mapinfo does not
provide a "preview" image in their EPS file. We usually do something at
letter sized first so they can see we know what we are doing.
