I found the most notable thing to be a bug fix - you can finally plot
raster maps with transparency. Also included is support for Cartesian
coordinate calculations - distances can be calculated using Pythagorean
math (rather than great circle distances) and area can be calculated on a
plane (rather than on a sphere).
Both the transparency bug and the distance / area calculations have been
discussed several times on this list, so maybe someone at MapInfo reads
this list!
