Good morning, all! I don't do much MapBasic programming, and have a question for all the great MapBasic programmers out there. I'm sure there's a simple solution to my dilemma, and any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have a MapInfo table of road segments, based on TIGER data. I have a DBF database file of alternate names for these segments. Each segment has a unique identifier; this field is found in both the MapInfo table and the DBF file, so that a segment that's called "1st St" in the MapInfo table might have a companion record in the DBF file (with the same identifer) named "US Hwy 31". What I would like to do is make the DBF file mappable, "update" (by whatever means) the objects from the MapInfo table to the new file (based on the corresponding identifers) and then append the DBF file to the MapInfo table. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. I hope everyone on the list has an opportunity to shut the machines down at some point, and enjoy the weekend.
