I am using MapInfo to download tables from Oracle database, Geocode them
(with Mapmarker) in layers from most accurate up to Zip Centroid, trim all
the columns other then TABLE_ID, LONGITUDE, LATITUDE, and GEORESULT, and
then upload it back into Oracle Data base (with mapinfo). I have to this
twice a week (data is updated all the time in the database).
My question is:
How can I automate this process, using MapBasic or C, to do these steps on
a predetermined time and generate a log at the end.
System and server specifications:
Server ? Oracle 8.
Operating system ? Windows NT with service pack 4.
Software ? MapInfo Professional 5.01.
- MapInfo, MapXtreme 2.02.
- MapMarker Plus 4.4.
- SpatialWare 3.5.
If you have any suggestions or ideas they will be greatly appreciated.
Also if you have samples code that you can forward to me (for any portions
of the task) I will be very happy to learn from them.
