We have recently released a product
called MetaManager that does exactly what you are referring to. It is a very
simple and inexpensive tool to get going fast with Metadata in MapInfo.
MetaManager reads existing
attributes of your tables (Coordinate System Parameters, Table structure, Object
statistics) and inserts or saves metadata values automatically. MetaManager also
generates Metadata Reports for printing or saving. Table structure and object
statistics can also be included in these reports.
