Following some exchanges on this list and around it, I decided to build my
own tool to break up regions in common border segment. REG2PLIN.mbx will do
the work, at least to a large extent. Before I offer it to the "general"
public, I would appreciate if some adventurous ones would test it and give
me their comments.
As I was developping it, I discovered that a little bit more work will add
several topology editing capabilities with a slight increase of processing
time. I wrote then a second version REG2PLINed.mbx that will WORK ONLY WITH
MI/MB 5.5
There is a different zip package for each version, each including a short
document explaining it and framing some questions.
If anyone is interested in these almost-beta applications, drop me a line
and I will send you what you want as soon as I can. Do not forget to tell me
which version you want, I will send both only if you ask for them.
