Subject: MI digital images

We are going to scan hundreds of slides in high-resolution digital images. We also
have lots of digital maps in PDF format we would like to store and retrieve them
when convenient.

We will burn the images on CD and create an archiving system. However, we need
quite often to access this database as part of our promotional scheme.

I wonder if any of you has information on "image database software" of some sort,
with search capability that allows having a description and a thumbnail image? A
quick recover (double click) of the image like on the thumbnail to see it in full
resolution or to call for the right CD code would be the ideal.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
