This is all in addition to the hard work that has been put into the product to

Beta is an opportunity for our most valued technical Beta sites to
examine and evaluate the new version of software . We are interested
in your comments on compatibility issues with your software,
development environments, operating systems, and hardware
configurations. Additionally, we would like to learn about any migration
issues from MapX v.3.5.2 or previous releases to assure the highest
quality for upgrades. We are not seeking feature requests for this release;
our goal is to increase the quality and stability of the current functionality t
o the highest degree before final ship. At the conclusion of the Beta we
will be interested in any feature requests as we move to future development
cycles. Much of the functionality of this release comes from your previous
feature requests.
Please direct all feedback for the beta through the discussion area of the
Testdrive Center web page. MapInfo response and additional inquiries
will appear as responses in the discussion area.

Please realize that this is Beta software and not a completed and final product.
We do not recommend the use of Beta software in mission critical production
systems.
We encourage testing this software off-line and in an additional environment
whenever possible. It is highly recommended that all data be backed up prior
to use with Beta software such as MapX 4.0. We are anxious to assure the
highest l
evel of quality for our final ship, so your feedback is of the utmost
importance.
A sustained working relationship between MapInfo and its Beta test sites is
extremely important for the success of the Beta Test Program. MapInfo
recognizes the value of your expertise and we genuinely appreciate your
willingness to share that expertise with us. We know that with your help, we
will produce the quality software that your desktop and enterprise demands.
