The only way I've found to reliably order objects (especially for thematic
mapping) is to Select... all objects into a new table, Order By yourcolumn
(+ asc or desc depending on your needs), then Add that new query table to
your Map window. That way I can create Ranges or Graduated symbols with the
Biggest on the bottom, allowing the smaller values to still show.
With the newer versions of MapInfo, those queries will be saved with your
workspace - a big improvement over the older versions where you had to
re-create the query and the thematic every time.
