My company is looking to find a person who has some experience in MapInfo.
Somewhere between a newbie and a guru. Maybe two years experience? We've
used a contractor in the past, but we really want someone in house who know
this stuff better than myself. Ideally, this person would also have some
experience in either customer service or marketing. My questions are:
How valuable is MapInfo experience in the marketplace?
How hard is it to find someone? Would you recommend a head-hunter?
What is a typical base salary for a GIS person?
Would it be inappropriate to use this board to post a position?
I'm just trying to get a feel for the market so I can present this to
management for budget reasons. Any input is welcome!
