MI WAPHGIS: GIS data for Antartica and N polar region

Dear GISers:  For some climate and health studies that are going on, some of us are looking for some basic coverages of Antarctica and the N Polar region, mostly to be used for mapping in a publication. Any ideas? Free of course.
