Hi, I am trying to generate nice maps of the neighbourhood. To make really nice maps I of course use vector graphics since well... you know.
However I discoverd that the SVG mapnik generated (form openstreetmap data) are quite huge. (2.1 mb). Now this might be due to my used style sheet. However I noticed: nothing is grouped at all. Or well initially it is grouped but all in 1 group. So when un-grouping you have A LOT of objects. Which does not make editing easy. Text is placed as individual letters. Which makes moving it quite hard. Is anybody working on these issues or do I just have to live with them?
