In fact I've already post my question 3 times. I've received this automatic response at my first post: Your message to Mapnik-users awaits moderator approval
So after 5 days I've asked for some explanations from the moderator but I didn't want this message to be published on the mapnik list. So the good message is not published and the wrong one is published :-/ Anyway, here my question: I've created a map with josm and mapnik and noticed that some streets names are truncated. The names are truncated on the border of the tiles. A screenshot of a truncated street and the associated wrong tile is attached http://www.nabble.com/file/p25126456/street_name_truncated.jpg street_name_truncated.jpg http://www.nabble.com/file/p25126456/z17-38890-46848.png z17-38890-46848.png The red crosses are the borders of the tiles (this layer is added with Google maps and is not generated by mapnik) mapnik 0.5 and mapnik 0.6.1 have both the same bug. Is it a known problem, I don't see anything about this on the mapnik users list? is it possible to reduce as much as possible these kind of truncated street names? thank you for your help Lennard-2 wrote: > > alain vicet wrote: >> Hi >> >> I've submitted a question 4 or 5 days ago and it's not published yet! > > No earlier question from you appeared on this mailing list.
