"Threading" is buggy as hell... "Multiprocessing" (>= v2.6) is much better...

It was backported to v2.5 under the same name, but don't use PyProcessing
- it's the old version.

You could even use "subprocess" to start multiple instances as processes.
It produces overhead, but works well on all OSes.
