Hi, As you would have seen, DistCpV2 is up on https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-2765. The code will go into a new contrib project. It has full unit test coverage and proper documentation. I really liked this part of the patch. :) The patch has been reviewed and ready for commit. Would like to have it in 0.23 branch. Since it is all new code, I think it should be fine. Moreover, the code is in production in Yahoo! since six months.
