Yahoo! also has their own private implementation. So, it seems like there's a
need for something like this, and it would be great if everyone could use and
contribute to the same version of it.
YARN-2942 is being put on hold for the moment because of concerns about
HDFS-3689. We can still do it eventually.
As for MAPREDUCE-6283, I agree with Vinod's comment there that it seems to be a
duplicate of YARN-2942 for the logs part, and a duplicate of the ATSv2 work for
the jhist part.
