I am preparing for the inevitable occasion when the data in Wikidata will be usable.
I am hoping to see the location of the map connect to knowledge about the location. Also, I am hoping that when the old maps are used for vectorizing historical features, those geometries would link to Wikipedia articles or other data. And most importantly, I think "Commons" data should be queried in connection with Wikidata data, otherwise great opportunities are lost!
