I am preparing a presentation about Wikimaps for tomorrow (Meeting of the International Society of Curators of Early Maps ISCEM at the International Conference on the History of Cartography) and I am outlining these steps. Please react:
- Map mass uploads for institutions - Adding geolocation to maps in Commons (georeferencing) - Web mapping service in Wikimedia - Collaboratively vectorizing old maps (with OHM preferably) - Spatiotemporal gazetteer in Wikidata - Map mashup tools in Wikimedia (languages, thematic data, timeline animations, historical geometries...)
