Hi Johannes and everyone on the maps list,

In relation to the Wikimaps project I have proposed a round table for
geodata in the Wikimania DevCamp, on Wednesday the 7th in the afternoon. It
does not seem to show in the program yet.

There are ways in which we all want maps to be displayed and geographic
data to be stored. We need to come together with the projects and
definitions. In the Wikimaps proposal
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wikimaps
we are proposing to develop both a gazetteer of historical places and to
develop the display of maps in Wikimedia.

Would you, Johannes, be attending Wikimania, or anyone else from the
project? If not and in any case, we need to find a way to coordinate
outside events.

Everyone else also, please join the discussion in Wikimania and on the list.

Best regards,
Susanna
