I actually feel that the release manager role actually *begins* now, as
the follow-up point release is likely as important as the 8.0.0 release.
For those wondering, here is the planned schedule:
8.0.1 release: 31 October
8.2.0 release: 30 December
(yes it's bold goals, but that's what we're aiming for - it is all up to
the MapServer community as a team)
