Thank you for answer and suggestion.
This is a good workaround in case of using fonts symbols.
In my case I have customers that prepared vectorial symbols and they would
like to rotate them. The reason why they choosed vectorial symbols is
because rendering of complex symbols is slightly better with vectorial
definition instead of fonts.

you cannot, however you can do a way around using labels ... Here is a
