Maptitude - http://research.umbc.edu/~roswell/maptitude.html Hi Dick: You have done must of the work, now you have to go to step 3, and start again step 4, which is not the right thing to do, instead you have to open the first option of the Selection Menu which is Select by Condition, or press the blue botton with the symbols "=><+" this command works either from the Map Window or from the Dataview Window. Then you will be able to make a subset of any of your saved conditions, by pressing the black triangle on the Selection Method box. There you will have four possibilities (Create Set, Add to Set, Remove from Set and Subset). Select the last one to be aplied over your Selection Set if you have not named it otherwise, type in the Condition Window your new condition to create a subset out of the first one, check the syntaxis with the Verify button, hit 3 times Enter Key if your new condition is OK, and there you are with a subset of the previous Selection Name, just be aware that the name of the Set is the same you have at the begening of the process. Good luck! Reinaldo P.S. Select by value is a very powerfull selection command that make a selection set based on attributes conditions of another layer. I would like to discuss here how to use it more... Perhaps some of you have examples of its use.
