Maptitude - http://research.umbc.edu/~roswell/maptitude.html
Thanks for all the advice. I will try these methods. As for making the
map in Maptitude, the project that I am working on is a database which
will be made available to potential incoming industries, in the
beginning probably through local town offices and the county economic
development office, and later (when we have and figure out the ArcIMS
software) on the web to the public. ArcView is available in most of
those offices, and is also what we use at the University, which is
funding the project. There will be several map views in the finished
product, one for each town, which users will be able to manipulate to
see just what they are interested in. (Zoom, pan, and turn themes on and
off will be available. The rest will be removed to prevent accidental
changes.) We want the census database for access to potential workforce
numbers.
Again, thanks a lot for the advice. Robin
