We just discovered what the problem is. The dba was doing something special to make the ID unique, because it appeared that Maptitude did not like it, in truth it was a selection issue, but what the dba did which was create a indicator so that the ID would be called the primary ID which Maptitude did pick up on, whatever was going on in the back ground caused Maptitude not to pick up the data correctly for the theme data. Once I realized that all I needed to do was select the "ID" when I was setting things up it all worked properly and I did not have to use the workaround. Now I have nice data with symbols and colors just they way it should be. It takes a bit to refresh when there is a lot of data, but if I can refresh it once every 5 minutes it is OK. The important thing is not to have to wait until we post process in order to find the problems.
