Folks,
I have some .shp files which I am trying to import into Maptitude. I have
done this before, usually have to "rubber" the street files into place as
they are usually a few meters off to one side or the other.

In this particular case I have been given .shp files for streets that I
am am going to drive in Hillsborough County, FL when I try to import the
files into Maptitude it wants UTM as the street map was done in UTM.
So I select UTM and unit of feet, I also select UTM Zone 17 which is 78
to 84 west. When I plot it, it appears about 2 degrees further west and
25 degrees south of where it should be.

As a example, I located a known road reference point on my Maptitude
map of Hillsborough county, that point is located at:
-82.417633, 27.922967
The same point on the .shp file appears at:
-84.070017, 03.593246

Here is the information that the fellow who did the .shp files sent me

I have done some .shp files for Nigeria where I had to do the above
rubbering, I got one file from the fellow that generated them that
mapped out in the Atlantic, he had made some mistake, he replotted
them and they came up where they should, but I never found out what
he changed.

Anyone have a idea of what is wrong, if you want to I can send you
the zip file that has the .shp files in it.
