I did a bit of searching  and came across
http://www.mapcruzin.com/download_mapcruz.htm

Didn't see it there but you could ask  Michael Meuser. (about half way down the page)

It seems that Ham operators use the grid   Maybe another place to look.  Probably out there in a shape file that can be downloaded.

Has anyone tried to use the Maidenhead grid system with Maptitude?
I do not believe Maptitude has it incorporated, but I would like
to try it.

I would like to pull data out of a database, the position data is
given as maidenhead grid squaire data.
Here is a reference page to it.

If anyone has already used it with Maptitude I would certainly
like to talk to you about it.

My present position is 28.10246 N, 081.95110 W. using the maidenhead
grid the same location is given as: EL98AC, much shorter representation
and it gets the position as near as I need.
