David, Go to the dataview for your point layer and 'Modify Table' then 'Add Field' and choose the type (Probably integer for your purposes). This field would be for your district number. Then right-click on the new field and select 'Fill' then 'Tag' and choose your district layer and the district number field. Maptitude will fill each point record with the district number in which it is located. Hope this helps. A J
