In the "create vector grid" dialog box, change the coordinate system to, state plane/wisconsin north and change the units to meters or feet. Then convert the number miles you want your vertical and horizontal grids to be to whatever units you choose and plug the value into your grid spacing.

There is some prep work that you'll need to first:

1. change the map coordinate system to state plane and units you want to use, must be feet or meters.
2 get the coordinate of what would be lower left corner of the area you want covered, in feet or meters and write it down.

I use this method all the time to create grids that need to be a specific uniform distance and it works great.

Good luck,

        Subject:        [Maptitude] Grid

Hi! I need to cover my North Wisconsin map with a grid made with
"blocks" of 10 sq miles each. I'm trying to use the Create Vector
Grid, but so far no success. I know my latitude, longitude origin
points, but I don't know where to specify that I want a grid spacing
of 5 MILES.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks
