This sounds like an old problem that was discussed sometime ago and
someone recommended using CutePDF, a free PDF writer. I noticed that
Acrobate 5.0 and 7.0 had size limitation of no greater than 45" x 45".
CutePDF doesn't have any size constrants, the largest map I've printed
from a Maptitude layout to PDF was 42" x 74" using CutePDF.

I'll have to play around with Distiller and see how that works.

Bob,

I’ve had your same problem too many times. The solution is pretty simple.
In your Acrobat Distiller advanced options, turn down the graphics print
quality to no higher than 600dpi. Do that and try creating a large PDF.

Did you need to do something special to get that to work? I've got
Acrobat 5.0, and there seems to be a limit on size. I can set up
large paper sizes, but the output clips to about 24" wide. Anything
wider than that I've either had to print directly to the printer or
import into Illustrator first. It would be really nice to be able to
print to Acrobat first, because then I could proof my stuff on
screen!
