If you have the ZIP you shouldn't have to worry about the State. It looks like you need to use the Address2 field as your address field (apartment number or PO Box will not help in any case). As for the ZIP: in cases where you have 6 or 7 digits you more then likely had a ZIP plus 2 ZipCode. as in case where you have only 5 digits it is likely that the leading zero was left off. For instance, the data you have more then likely had that field as a number field, so then the leading zero was drop. However with that said, I am a little confused by your last two lines of your email. It is not real clear with me what your exactly asking. Chandler

Dear friends, I have maybe 100,000 addresses that need a decent cleanup and we have a lot of inconsistent address situations: There is a ZIP but the state is missing; Address1 is empty , Address2 has the address; Address1 is the apartment number and Address2 is the street address; Address 1 is a PO Box and Address2 is a street address; Address 1 and 2 are exactly the same; There are 6 or 7 digits in the ZIP Or there are three or four CA will have a 9123 so who knows what is missing. Does anyone have a suggestion? I think Maptitude does some standardization when it geocodes, but can I save the output? Does Maptitude 5.0 have any worthwhile improvements on this front? Do folks recommend other software? Thanks in advance. Yahoo!
