Fellow Maptituders, Do you ever need to get the coordinates for a particular spot on a map? Sure, you can use the arrow tool to locate the point, then scribble down the coordinates displayed at the bottom of the screen. But much more convenient would be to have those coordinates copied to the clipboard. A new add-in, "Point_Coordinates.rsc" can make that happen.
You may download this utility at the Directions Magazine website (http://www.directionsmag.com/files/download/141697). It is Free and Open Source (GPLv3 license). I should note that this add-in has a certain resemblance to Caliper's "Click Coord DMS.rsc" file. For the record, I developed mine independently. But the two are similar enough that, should you need coordinates in DMS format, it wouldn't be too hard to adapt their algorithm to work in my add-in. ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
