The MT 5.0 license seem to deactivate due to different reasons: a computer
power shortage, a Computer crash, the antivirus software, and the list goes
on. Apparently these issues have been fixed or ammeliorated in MT 6.0

Here are some more hints on reinstalling and reactivating maptitude,
extracted from Caliper's Support messages.

(Note: only go through these procedure if you ahve gotten a License
Activation related message and you MT refuses to run.)

First, locate the following "hidden" folder, on XP

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Caliper

on Windows 7 and Vista:

C:\ProgramData\Caliper

delete the entire contents of this folder.

Next, make sure you anti-virus is temporarily disabled.

Then run the "Setup" program on the Maptitude program disc to re-install
Maptitude.

Near the end of the installation process, the "Activation Wizard" will
appear and prompt you, most likely, to "Request recovery" of your license.
Choose the "Request recovery" option, click Next, and proceed as prompted
by the Wizard.
