I don't know what the old color ramp was... but if you have a graphic of the 
old color set, you can figure out what the colors' RGB values were using the 
color picker tool (usually an eyedropper icon) in most graphics programs. Then 
you can enter those RGB values when selecting custom colors for each in the 
color theme.

Another approach to recoloring the themes is to use my free Recolor Theme 
add-in (see http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Maptitude/message/3970). It lets 
you experiment with other color ramps, including Cynthia Brewer's ColorBrewer 
color sets. The add-in is open source, so if you like the functionality Recolor 
Theme provides but not the pre-programmed color ramps, you are free to modify 
the program to provide for other color sets.
