Dr. Haspel,
Thanks, but it was (still is) not that. As I say, the Toolbox
subdirectory is actually empty except for the rsccw.exe file. So as a
test, I copied the rest of them from a previous version of Mapt and now
it works, but the buttons of the GISDK bar are looking funny (sizes are
smaller and they somehow overlaps), but at least I can run all of them
if I make a sharp click. Next step I'll do would be renaming the
directory were my Mapt is installed and try to run the installation
again so if something goes wrong I can always come back to the previous
version. As I am not fully confident with this perhaps I will wait till
tomorrow to do the risky maneuver. What do you think?
Cheers,
Reinaldo

Reinaldo,
Just a shot in the dark: you may have a permissions issue. That is,
your user account may not have the right permissions either to modify
the add-ins.txt file or to write the directory where rsccw.exe (the
actual GISDK compiler) wants to put the compiled version of the add-in.
Can your user account write to the directory referenced in the error
message?
