a small number of customers getting broadband through the company's
developing FiOS fiber-based offering --- Crown Media completed the
sale of its international business to an investor group comprised of
Providence Equity Partners, 3i and David Elstein --- Cablevision said it

Craig Moffett of Bernstein Research on first quarter broadband
customer additions: "BellSouth, SBC and Verizon all reported healthy
net DSL subscriber additions in first quarter 2005. These results suggest
that the broadband market is still growing strongly, and point to
potential upside when the cable operators report later this week/early
next week. BellSouth, SBC and Verizon reported a total of 1.14 million
DSL subscriber additions in first quarter 2005, compared with 947,000
in the year ago quarter, a 21 percent increase."
