Charles Dolan, founder and chairman of Cablevision Systems, dropped
a decision to reduce the size of the company's board of directors before
its annual shareholders meeting held April 22, according to a FCC filing
made public today. The disclosure made by Dolan reverses an earlier
push to elect 75 percent of Cablevision's board of directors and reduce
its size to 12 members at the next shareholders meeting in May, the
filing said. In March, Dolan moved to replace four members of the
board who opposed his VOOM ambitions.
