TOP STORY - Verizon said it will expand its fiber network, which delivers 
video as well as broadband and phone service, to 17 additional New 
Jersey communities. The company said it will seek a franchise 
agreement from local authorities before offering video in a selected 
community.

Awards competition --- Shaw Communications said it closed its offering 
of $450 million (Canadian) principal amount of 6.10% senior notes due 
2012.
