--------------------------------------------------------------------- The Evening Bridge - November 18, 2005 --------------------------------------------------------------------- TOP STORY -- Cablevision plans a price adjustment for its cable TV service, amounting to an average increase of 2.3 percent, or $1.45 per month. Standard pricing for the company's Optimum Online high-speed Internet and Optimum Voice services will not increase in 2006 – the third consecutive year without a price jump for the two offerings. Cablevision points out the cable TV price adjustment is below the current rate of inflation, and cites a 12 percent jump in programming costs this year as a reason for increasing cable TV pricing.
