TOP STORY -- Verizon Communications said the company added record 
numbers of high speed internet customers and wireless subscribers in 
the fourth quarter, boosting revenue beyond Wall Street expectations. 
Despite decreased earnings from a year ago, when it posted a big gain 
on asset sales, revenue rose 5.8 percent to $19.3 billion, beating 
analyst estimates of $19.1 billion, according to Reuters Estimates.

Starz Entertainment Group, The Hollywood Reporter and Sandra Carter 
Global will produce Starz The Hollywood Reporter, a weekly half-hour 
entertainment news program focusing on the business of making movies 
(set to premiere today at 8:30 p.m. on Starz) --- Network Creative 
Group, the parent company of BlueHighways TV, announced that its 
music and cultural programming is now available on Google Video --- 
NDS Group's end-to-end solutions have been chosen by Tata Sky for 
the mid-2006 launch of the company's DTH pay-TV service in India --- 
Apple and MTV Networks announced a deal where programs from MTV, 
MTV2, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and The N will now be available on 
iTunes --- AT&T reported 4Q net income of $1.66 billion, or 46 cents per 
share.

>From this week's BRIDGE on 2006 projections: "Although cable's share 
of the broadband business fell from 62 percent to 59 percent in 2004, 
the industry remains the leading broadband platform, states data from 
Strategy Analytics. The firm says cable's share may have slipped to 57 
percent at the end of 2005, while the share for telco offerings of DSL 
and fiber may have grown to 41 percent. Nonetheless, cable may retain 
a five million subscriber lead over DSL in 2009 and 2010. Cable modem 
services are projected to have 35 million customers in 2010, while DSL 
has a forecasted 30 million that year, Strategy Analytics says." For
