TOP STORY -- Charter Communications announced two agreements to 
sell certain cable systems serving approximately 549,000 customers for 
around $896 million. Charter's cable systems in West Virginia and 
Virginia are being sold to Cebridge Acquisition, while the company's 
systems in Illinois and Kentucky are being sold to New Wave 
Communications. Charter also reported fourth-quarter 2005 revenues of 
$1.342 billion, an increase of 5.2 percent. Revenues for the year were 
$5.254 billion, an increase of 5.6 percent over 2004.

The FCC's Deborah Taylor Tate said cable TV providers have not done 
enough to give consumers more choice despite new packages of family-
oriented programming --- Comcast and IFC Entertainment agreed to 
offer IFC in Theaters, making selected independent films available 
through Comcast's on-demand service on the same day that they are 
released in theaters --- TVGuide.com launched a new online search 
product integrating online video with TV Guide's database of listings, 
photos, show descriptions, news, reviews, ratings, celebrity information, 
podcasts, TV Guide magazine covers, and other information --- AT&T 
announced a new voice and data networking services contract with R.L. 
Deppmann Co., a plumbing, HVAC and industrial equipment provider 
with headquarters in Southfield.

as senior vice president of marketing --- WorldSpace announced the 
appointment of CE veteran Stephen Shenefield as senior vice president,
