TOP STORY -- Comcast agreed to pay $1 million, change its advertising 
practices and improve its customer service as part of a settlement 
following a two-year investigation by the Massachusetts attorney 
general's office. The Philadelphia-based company holds more than 75 
percent of the Massachusetts television market. Attorney General 
Thomas Reilly said the settlement will insure consumers are getting the 
information they need to make informed decisions on price, 
programming, and services.

The Senate Commerce Committee approved the nomination of Robert 
McDowell to be a member of the Federal Communications Committee. 
The nomination still needs full Senate approval --- Discovery 
Communications and Nokia announced a global collaboration to deliver 
Discovery's content pre-loaded onto Nokia's newest mobile and wireless 
personal devices --- MyNetworkTV and Young Broadcasting, Inc. have 
entered into an affiliation agreement for KRON/San Francisco --- 
Microsoft said it plans to spend $500 million during the next year trying 
to persuade businesses to use its software rather than hire International 
Business Machines consultants --- Beginning April 3, Georgians living in 
the 706 area code will need to dial 10 digits (seven-digit number plus 
three-digit area code) to complete a call.
