I can understand that. There's just no quantitative information I can find.
Claus has done some great work at http://live.gnome.org/GnomeMarketing/MarketAnalysis that doesn't quite match as well, so you're probably right. And the table of marketshare that Claus has on that page is also a survey. One other thing I should have said, and I apologize, is Stormy did help with the Brief, and I don't want folks to think I'm taking solo credit. Keep the comments coming!
