I apologise for being the trigger for the block in the voting. There was an off-by-one misunderstanding, where "deadline is the 5th" could be interpreted as "you have to finish before the 5th of april starts" (I gather that was your interpretation) or "you have until the end of the 5th of April" (which was my interpretation).
I suggest in the future we give deadlines as a datetime and timezone pair.
