Hi Drew, My name is Drew Campbell and I'm the Marketing Director at The Top Floor, a Vermont IT firm. I agree with the other Drew that it's important to build name recognition for the LibreOffice brand. It is way too soon to shorten the name for marketing purposes...we need to drill the actual name into the market - LibreOffice, LibreOffice, LibreOffice...Though I agree that #libO would be a great Twitter hash!
Thanks for all the work you're doing to promote this! ~Drew Drew Campbell - [email protected] The Top Floor - Business Computer Solutions ________________________________ PO Box 524, Middlebury, VT 05753 Phone: 802.388.1600 x252 Toll-Free: 800.290.4979 x252 Fax: 800.290.4765 -----Original Message----- From: Drew Jensen [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2010 11:08 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Res: Res: [libreoffice-marketing] t-shirts (and maybe business cards) On Wed, 2010-10-13 at 19:49 -0700, Lucas Filho wrote: > Hello Drew, > > > > The same does not prove what is the "Libo". What do you think? > Personally - I think that if LibreOffice had some decent name recognition then playing with a nick-name would be fine, but right now I think it would better to focus on building that name recognition for the real name. However there are folks with real PR/Mktg background on the list and I would certainly want to hear what they think on that. LibO is cute for sure. For instance I think it is a great twitter hash for us #libO. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail to [email protected] List archives are available at http://www.libreoffice.org/lists/marketing/ All messages you send to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail to [email protected] List archives are available at http://www.libreoffice.org/lists/marketing/ All messages you send to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted.
