Hi,

Yeah. My suggestion is: Make sure to get a copy of the raw material as
soon as possible - i.e. have a harddrive where you copy the recordings
to, after each day/in the breaks between talks. That way you can at
least provide preliminary version until the final edit is done.
indeed, that's something we missed in Berlin due to lack of time. Next
time, we bring a few TB of external disk storage and copy the stuff.
However...
To me it seems that it would have been much easier to just ignore the
multi-source player-syncing problems and instead just edit the speaker
video and provide that, and later mix in the slides and other souces
that were captured. But of course I don't have insight in the details,
...from what I recall, the way they were recording the raw material
wouldn't have helped much, as it is in the wrong aspect ratio, because
of the technology they used. I don't know details, but I recall
something like that was the issue.
I volunteer to go through the pictures... Please remind me of the process :-))
Oh, cool, thanks a lot! So, they're in my home on kermit in droopystore.
Tasks to do:
- download them all
- check if there are private pictures (Berlin vacation trip) and remove
those
- filter out those pictures showing someone with a dull face or in a
dull situation (sometimes pictures taken in the wrong second make one
look like that :)
- only take those pictures
- that show someone delivering a speech (because people agreed to being
recorded), or
- that show a group picture where you can't vetoe to be shown
- that show people who individually agree to be shown (you have my
approval)
Put all of that somewhere internally, so I can publish it :)
Thanks!
Florian
