Agreed, I do think it's all about what new services these developments will enable, this will drive adoption more so than the explanatory concepts, and I'm a little unclear on a few related points, particularly with regards to the recent integrations such as with XDI.
For example I'm mainly interested in becoming some form of service provider, so should I be looking at setting up an openid sso provider or an i-broker, or are they the same thing now? A few of the i-names sites talk about services in the pipeline like i-mail and i-share, but I've seen no new news on them for a while. Are these programs now co-ordinated through here or am I in the completely wrong place, is this just for promoting end-user adoption of openid? Many thanks, Neil. > I think positioning around the problem space OpenID is solving is > better then what OpenID does today. > > It leaves the door open to provide related solutions and does not > lock OpenID into being only about portable identifiers.
