Rob,

I noticed there is OpenOffice.org / OpenSource.org - really two different
target groups since there are people that make the programs / use the
programs. I agree that there has to be some type of guidelines to create a
streamline branding. It's definitely a problem if thousands of people are
all making unique marketing efforts but if they are all spread out it's a
waste of time. What I wanted to know really is if the founders/leaders have
certain colors, catch phrases, ex. they are already set on. If so they
could definitely be a starting point to create materials from / videos
from. I can say I have gotten lost trying to download OpenOffice off the
front page a few times. Saying that I think there should be more visuals
and not just all text too. We live in a world now of "app icons" and I
think it would be smart to create what people use now.
